In light of many of our clients gaining their ISO 27001 Information Security Management system, ASTA by CTR Secure Services is now implementing the same systems in support of our strategic alliance in gaining the same level of accreditation. We have now gained the Cyber Essentials Certification, this is in addition to working towards ISO 27001. This now means that the current certifications we have include:

ISO 45001 – with SSIP

Cyber Essentials

What is Cyber Essentials?

The continued risk of cyber crime and cyber attacks on businesses can be a concern and this is why action must be taken. Cyber Essentials is recognised nationwide as a recognised option for SME’s to improve protection against cyber related attacks.

It is a UK government backed scheme to help businesses better protect themselves against cyber attacks. It provides a clear guide on the controls any business should have in place to mitigate the risk of an online attack.

Launched on the 5th June 2014, it is a certification scheme that is applicable to any sized UK business, and it has been designed to make sure it viable for the needs of the SME market as well as larger enterprises.

Who does it benefit?

Having Cyber Essentials certification benefits ASTA as a company but more importantly benefits our learners and clients as proves that we are taking measures against cyber crime and this includes protecting data.

In addition to Cyber Essentials, we continue to strive towards ISO 27001 which further benefits our company, our clients and our learners.

ISO 27001 (formally known as ISO/IEC 27001:2005) is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS). An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation’s information risk management processes.
